Why Join UKIM Youth?
Membership isn't just about attending events – it's about becoming part of a nationwide movement of young Muslims committed to positive change. As a member, you'll develop crucial leadership skills through exclusive training programmes and mentorship opportunities while building lifelong friendships with like-minded peers across the UK.
It’s an opportunity to make a real impact by leading projects that benefit your local community and beyond. Within this supportive environment, you can also grow spiritually, deepen your understanding of Islam, and help shape our direction by voting in Youth Parliament elections and influencing our programmes.
Membership Levels
Our membership journey is tailored to different age groups.
UKIM Junior (Ages 8-11)
Members receive a welcome pack (badge, activity journal, and membership card), a monthly digital magazine, and priority event booking. They are also matched with mentorship from older youth members. This level focuses on fun, engagement, and building a sense of community for the younger age group.
Youth Member (Ages 11-16)
This level includes all Junior benefits but offers greater responsibility. Members gain voting rights in local committees, access to national competitions, and leadership workshops. They become eligible to join our sports teams and take on light volunteering roles to help them develop new skills and confidence.
Torchbearers (Ages 17-25)
Torchbearers receive all Youth benefits plus access to our advanced leadership programme. They are supported through tailored career mentorship matching and are given access to our university and workplace networks. They also get notified about international opportunities and have chances to take on speaking and teaching roles.

Ways to Support
Can't Volunteer? You Can Still Make a Difference
If you are unable to commit your time, there are still many vital ways you can support our mission. Your financial donations are crucial, helping us keep programmes affordable and accessible to all young Muslims. This could involve sponsoring a young person's camp place, supporting our mental health initiatives, or funding leadership training programmes.
Another powerful way to contribute is to spread the word. You can help by sharing our content on social media, inviting friends to events, writing for our blog, or becoming a Youth Ambassador at your school or university. We also invite businesses and professionals to partner with us, which could involve offering internships, providing pro-bono services, sponsoring events, or collaborating on community projects.
